WHAT IS BREAST AUGMENTATION?
Breast augmentation surgery is a cosmetic procedure to increase the size or improve the shape of the breasts. It is typically performed using silicone implants or the patient's own fat tissue (fat injection). Breast augmentation aims to provide a more balanced and aesthetic appearance for those unhappy with small or asymmetrical breasts.
SURGICAL AND RECOVERY PROCESS
Performed under general anesthesia, the surgery lasts about 1-2 hours. The implant placement incisions are usually hidden in the breast crease, around the areola, or in the armpit. Mild pain and swelling may occur after the surgery, but patients can usually return to daily activities within a few days. Full recovery takes 4-6 weeks, resulting in fuller, symmetrical, and natural-looking breasts.
