WHAT IS NOSE SURGERY?
Nose surgery (rhinoplasty) is a procedure to improve the shape and function of the nose. It involves adjustments to the size, shape, or symmetry of the nose, such as reducing a hump, lifting the tip, or reshaping the nostrils. It also addresses functional issues, such as nasal blockages and deviations. Rhinoplasty aims to create a nose that is aesthetically pleasing and harmonious with facial features.
SURGICAL AND RECOVERY PROCESS
Performed under general anesthesia, rhinoplasty takes 2-3 hours. Incisions are made inside the nostrils or along the base of the nose to keep scars hidden. Post-operative swelling and bruising are common but subside within 1-2 weeks. Patients can resume normal activities a few days after surgery, but full recovery and final results may take 6 months to 1 year. Rhinoplasty improves both aesthetics and functionality, enhancing the overall appearance and breathing.
